Alright You Guys..

quit acting all shy.

I asked you to share your favorite musicians and I get one response. And although Mike did offer up some interesting music, it certainly isn’t enough to keep me in new tunes for long.

Don, I’m especially disappointed in you. If I’m going to be forced to think of your nether regions every Tuesday night, the least you can do is suggest an artist or two.

And Bryan, WTH? You “talk” about music all the time.

Kathy you must know a half-dozen tunes that won’t make me look fat.

Crotchety, Lawrence Welk may not be my cup of tea, but throw one out there anyway!

Angelika, can’t you Tivo Hugh Laurie long enough to drop a kewl tune or two?

What are you all afraid of? Are you afraid people will snicker at your taste in music? ‘Cuz as the administrator here you do realize I have the ability to edit any derogatory comments, right? (Unless, of course you’re into boy-bands. In which case I can’t protect you.)

Oh, man. You’d be so disappointed with my selections. I haven’t really kept up with music lately. Isn’t that sad? I mostly gravitate back to my favorite decade and pop in some 80s stuff. I’m truly clueless about new artists, and by “new” I mean anyone in this decade.

I know. I should be hit over the head with a frying pan.

Why does it have to be ‘new’ music? I don’t recall seeing any requirement about when the music was made, other than being ‘new’ to admin. If I can suggest something from the 15th century, why not the 1980s?

BTW, have a listen to “Little Neutrino” by Klaatu. From 1976!!! :P

Kathy >> It was the boy-band remark, wasn’t it? :)

Mike >> You’re right, there was no requirement about when the music was made. I’m just looking for artists I may not have discovered yet.

So much music, so little time…….

Jim Croce is my all time favorite, closely followed by CCR and Meatloaf.

Not much of a fan of anything newer than that.

Joe >> I like all three, although I must admit it’s been awhile since I’ve actually listened to any of their music. Thanks for the reminder!

I love music too! I spend the better part of my day listening away, and the other half humming the tunes I’ve heard.

My favorite obsession is the Counting Crows. Adam Duritz is a lyrical genius. The way he talks about a woman in the song “Anna Begins” makes me melt every time I hear it.

As for newer stuff, I love the new All American Rejects CD. I loved it right away and could listen to it all the way through without skipping songs.

I also like Taking Back Sunday, Jacks Mannequin, City and Colour, and Brand New….great stuff check em out if you haven’t already!

thinkin >> Great list! I’ve already got some Counting Crows tracks, but “Anna Begins” isn’t one of them. And I’m not familiar with three of the last four artists you mentioned, so I look forward to checking them out.

BTW ~ If you’re looking for something new and like electric blues…. my current obsession is the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band. Noah Hunt has an abso-friggin-lutely fabulous voice and combined with Kenny’s guitar it just blows me away.

I’m all about Lady Gaga lately.

Yesterday I burned a CD for one of Evan’s teachers of Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels. It’s 60′s cruising music. It was pretty cool.

Other than that, I can’t think of anything. So soddy.

Angelika >> Lady Gaga huh? Another one I’m not familiar with. Thanks!

And 60′s cruising music is pretty cool at that. :)
