R.I.P.

It’s a sad, sad day in the Kewlstuff household.

I told you how I forgot to put a filter in the basket of my Cuisinart in this post. And I told you how I loved, loved, loved that coffeemaker in this post.

Well, I did it again. Forgot to put a filter in the basket. And this time, when the coffee rose up and out of the basket, it soaked the circuit panel.

My beloved coffeemaker has been in a coma since.

Mr. Kewl Stuff, who has mad technical skillz, even tried resuscitating it with the blow dryer.

But there’s still water in the little clock window. It’s digital numbers just flutter, then disappear altogether.

I’m afraid I shall never hear the sweet sound of it happily brewing my freshly ground coffee from it’s little corner of the kitchen again.

I know just how you feel. I had a steel ice cream scoop fall into the best disposal this side of the Mississippi. It broke the scoop and both blades of the disposal. It lived a happy life until it died at the ripe old age of 8 yrs.

    >> RedRaider, please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of your disposal. Let me guess…. was it “Death by Chocolate” ice cream?

    Sorry for your loss.

    (Keurig is the bomb, BTW)

Thanks for the sympathies Joe. Keurig huh? Is that one of those one-cup brewing systems? Uses coffee pods? ‘Cuz ya know, my Cuisinart did everything but drink it for me. Had a full pot of coffee (made from freshly ground beans) waiting for me when I woke every morning. (wiping the tear from my eye.)

I’m a total soft touch for anything that has to do with appliances, both major and minor.

OH DEAR GOD!!!!! Are you living at Mc Donalds now? Coffee can’t be as good but it flows all day too!
I kid, I know how much your coffee means to you. Try to hang in there, Christmas is just a short 9 months away.

Cheryl >> Good heavens no. Their coffee tastes like McAss. No, I had a back-up French Press. But you have no idea how long it takes water to boil until you’ve waited for that first cup of morning coffee.
